Figures have reappeared in this "Solstice" series.  I've been bouncing back and forth between acrylic and oil/cold wax work.  I noticed that with acrylics, in the beginning layers I'm seeing representational images almost immediately, whereas in the oil pieces, colour and texture shifts are the primary inspiration.  This acrylic piece is hanging at the Belleville Art Association Gallery, 392 Front St., Belleville, until early June.
