"Spring Into Art" 2019 Conference
The West Carleton Arts Society held its annual 'Spring into Art' Conference on Sat., April 6. Five artists recounted some of their life experiences while sharing their particular artworks and methods.
Outstanding work in felting was presented by artist Marjolein Dallinga of Bloomfelt, her atelier in Quebec. Born and educated in the Netherlands, Marjolein arrived in Canada in 1989 and is now an award - winning felt artist and teacher. She designs and creates felt costumes for film and for clients such as Cirque du Soleil, in addition to wearable art and sculptures. This warm, funny, down-to-earth creative soul enthralled her audience with her stories and images.
